Developmental Consultations and Home Visits
Developmental Consultations and Home Visits are available with one of our developmental specialists. Emphasizing our preventative and early intervention approach to development, consults allow the family to ask questions specific to their child and allow time for the developmental specialist, of the family's choice, to observe and interact with the child. Information will be provided to the family on ways to support the child's current level of development and learn more about what to expect next developmentally.
Sessions are about 50 min with one developmental specialist and performed within the natural environment of the families choosing. Examples include, home, school and community settings. Regular visits can also be set up if the child qualifies. |
Developmental Check-Ins and Parent Coaching Sessions
During your individual Developmental Check-In with two of our developmental specialists, we will discuss birth history and developmental milestones while observing and interacting with your child.
We will observe six areas of development: gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, social/emotional, language, and self care. Based on parent report and clinical observation, we will provide immediate verbal feedback, strategies, suggestions, and developmental handouts. You will also receive a written report recapping the screening results. This is not an assessment and is to provide the family with information to support their child's development and learn more about their child's current skill level. 75min screening with two developmental specialists |
